18 March 2010: The small island developing States (SIDS) of the AIMS (Africa, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and South China Sea) region met in Male, Maldives, from 9-10 March 2010, to review progress achieved in the implementation of the Mauritius Strategy for the Further Implementation of the Barbados Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of SIDS (MSI). Participants expressed their desire to develop a regional position within the UNFCCC negotiations, among other areas for further attention. read more
15 March 2010: The 21st Inter-sessional Meeting of the Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which convened in Roseau, Dominica, on 11-12 March 2010, discussed the outcome of the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference among other things. 
12 March 2010: The International Conference on the Major Forest Basins, which took place in Paris, France, on 11 March 2010, discussed funding for REDD+ (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, plus conservation, sustainable management of forests, and stock enhancement) activities during 2010-2012.
10 March 2010: Workshops for developing countries working to reduce emissions from deforestation and land use change were held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1-3 March 2010, and Hue City, Viet Nam, from 8-10 March 2010.
10 March 2010: Researchers from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) have released a paper titled “Climate change impacts on livestock production and adaptation strategies: A global scenario.” The paper was presented at the National Symposium on Climate Change and Rainfed Agriculture, which convened from 18-20 February 2010, in Hyderbad, India. 
8 March 2010: The 15th meeting of the Poverty Environment Partnership (PEP 15), which took place from 1-5 March 2010, in Lilongwe, Malawi, convened under the theme “Climate and Environment Mainstreaming and the Green Economy to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals.” 
5 March 2010: Caribbean and EU diplomats, as well as representatives from civil society, met to discuss an enhanced Caribbean–EU partnership at a seminar in Barbados held from 4-5 March 2010, with a view to launching a drafting process of a new EU-Caribbean strategy addressing, inter alia, challenges related to climate change.
