2 June 2010: Juan Somavia, International Labour Organization (ILO) Director-General, presented his report to the 99th International Labour Conference, taking place from 2-18 June 2010, in Geneva, Switzerland. The report, titled "Recovery and Growth with Decent Work," identifies a number of vital and converging objectives for the agenda for policy dialogue and action on an employment-oriented framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth.
8 April 2010: The UN Global Compact's "Caring for Climate" initiative convened its second conference of signatories and stakeholders from 7-8 April 2010, in Geneva, Switzerland. 
28 April 2010: German Chancellor Angela Merkel organized a meeting with the OECD Secretary-General, WTO Director-General, ILO Director-General, IMF Managing Director and World Bank President. The joint press release from the event identifies several fields for action, including green growth and climate change. 
April 2010: With contributions from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Labour Organization (ILO) prepared a study titled "Accelerating a job-rich recovery in G20 countries: Building on experience," in preparation for the the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers meeting to be held in Washington DC, US, on 20-21 April 2010. 
26 February 2010: Addressing a panel discussion on "Achieving and Sustaining an Employment-Based Recovery: US and Global Strategies for Governments, Businesses, Workers and Families," at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, US, on 26 February 2010, Juan Somavia, International Labour Organization (ILO) Director-General, highlighted green jobs as a means of addressing the risk of a prolonged jobs crisis with wide social and political repercussions. 
24 February 2010: The UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) supported the first T.20 meeting of ministers and high-level officials, which convened in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 22-24 February 2010, to discuss the economic recovery and the transformation towards a greener and more sustainable economy.
