15 January 2010: The Joint Session of the Executive Boards of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the World Food Programme (WFP) convened on 15 January 2010, in New York, US, and focused on the issue of climate change. 
16 December 2009: The “Development and Climate Days” meeting convened from 11-14 December 2009, alongside the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP15) in Copenhagen, Denmark. The meeting provided opportunities to share information on the negotiations and on key development and climate issues. 
18 November 2009: The UN Population Fund (UNFPA) has launched The State of World Population 2009 Report, which is sub-titled “Facing a Changing World: Women, Population and Climate Change.” 
14 October 2009: The UN Population Fund (UNFPA), together with the Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO), has launched a resource kit on climate change connections, focusing on gender and population and advocating that women are uniquely positioned as innovators, educators, caretakers, leaders and agents of change to address the risks of a changing climate.
23 August 2009: The largest ever youth gathering on climate change was convened in Daejeon, the Republic of Korea from 17-23 August.
2 July 2009: The fifth Urban Research Symposium, which took place from 28 June-1 July 2009, in Marseille, France, was co-organized by the World Bank, the French ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Town and Country Planning, and the French Agency for Development around the theme “Cities and Climate Change: Responding to the Urgent Agenda.”
26 June 2009: The UN Population Fund (UNFPA), and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), in collaboration with the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), held a workshop from 24-25 June 2009, in London, UK, on population dynamics and climate change.
