16 March 2010: Nobuo Tanaka, International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director, delivered a presentation comparing the potential of biofuels in business-as-usual and reduced emissions scenarios at the World Biofuels Markets Conference 2010, which took place from 15-17 March 2010, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

16 March 2010: The UNFCCC has published a compilation of 32 submissions from parties on views on the need for additional meeting time for the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) and the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA), and on organization of work of the AWG- LCA (FCCC/KP/AWG/2010/MISC.1).
16 March 2010: In a press conference held in New York, US, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon indicated he was “encouraged” by the response of governments, scientific institutions and environmental activists to the launch of the independent review of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He also welcomed the support expressed by 110 countries representing over 80% of global emissions for the Copenhagen Accord, noting it was “an important advance toward Cancun.” 
16 March 2010: The Trust Fund Committee of the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), which met on 15 March 2009, in Manila, the Philippines, endorsed US$400 million in funding for Indonesia’s geothermal power sector to meet the Government’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 26% by 2020. 
15 March 2010: The 21st Inter-sessional Meeting of the Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which convened in Roseau, Dominica, on 11-12 March 2010, discussed the outcome of the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference among other things. 
15 March 2010: During a meeting on 15 March 2010, in Brussels, Belgium, the Council of the Environment Ministers of the EU adopted conclusions on climate change regarding the “Follow-up to the Copenhagen Conference.”
