29 July 2010: The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) has released a book of abstracts from the Food Security and Climate Change in Dry Areas meeting that it organized in collaboration with a number of other organizations.
22 July 2010: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have published a report titled "Jatropha: A smallholder bioenergy crop," which discusses the potential for jatropha as a bioenergy crop in semi-arid and remote areas of developing countries.
10 July 2010: In a statement to the Third Annual Caux Forum for Human Security, which convened from 9-16 July 2010, in Caux, Switzerland, Luc Gnacadja, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), discussed "Grounding Security: Soil security a prerequisite for human security." 
14 July 2010: The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), has released a 12-minute film describing the experiences of a pilot project to provide livestock insurance to pastoral farmers in the Marsabit District of Kenya. 
7 July 2010: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon addressed the Security Council in New York, US, on 7 July 2010, and noted that the protection of civilians encompasses broader challenges, such as governance, resource scarcity, climate change and land disputes.
29 June 2010: The Security Mobility Initiative has released a report titled "Advocating for Safe Movement as a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Pastoralists in the Horn and East Africa." 
2 July 2010: The 38th meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council took place in Washington DC, US, from 29 June-1 July 2010, and approved major reforms aimed at helping developing countries to meet international environmental challenges, including those related to climate change and biodiversity.
15 June 2010: The International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) has announced a new partnership with the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) for research on climate change adaptation and conservation agriculture.
