17 September 2010: The third meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and of the member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) convened in Havana, Cuba, on 17 September 2010, to evaluate the progress of their relations and explore new areas to strengthen their cooperation on issues of mutual importance at all levels.

16 September 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published three submissions from the Governments of Argentina, Belgium, on behalf of the EU, and Switzerland (FCCC/SBSTA/2010/MISC.13) on views related to standardized baselines under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
15 September 2010: The Ninth Conference of Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region, hosted by the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, from 13-15 September 2010, produced a statement addressing, among other things, climate change issues.
16 September 2010: The European Council discussed how to give new momentum to the Union's external relations, agreeing on the need for Europe to promote its interests and values more assertively and in a spirit of reciprocity and mutual benefit. In this context it provided guidance on specific external relations issues such as climate change.
15 September 2010: At the 13th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP 13), the Chair presented a "Draft proposal by the Chair" (FCCC/KP/AWG/2010/CRP.2) and invited Parties to submit their views on the text to the Secretariat by 31 August 2010.
The Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) are holding a two-day conference, titled "Increasing the Momentum of Fossil-Fuel Subsidy Reform: Developments and Opportunities," to bring together country delegates and experts from international organizations, NGOs, universities and the industrial sector. The event will feature representatives from international organizations such as the OECD, UNEP, World Bank, WTO and OPEC, as well as international fora such as G-20, APEC and the Friends group of countries that support reforming fossil-fuel subsidies, who will share and review their perspectives and activities. It will discuss not only the scale and impacts of consumer and producer subsidies, but especially focus on international developments, reform strategies and opportunities for enhanced international cooperation.

13 September 2010: The UN General Assembly (UNGA) has agreed by consensus to refer a draft outcome document (document A/64/L.68) to the high-level review meeting on the implementation of the Mauritius Strategy for the Further Implementation of the Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) (MSI+5).
