14 August 2010: A bilateral meeting between Brazil’s Minister of External Relations and New Zealand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs was held on 13-14 August 2010, in São Paulo, Brazil, to discuss, inter alia, climate change cooperation.
This consultative meeting of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) will discuss, inter alia, the draft "AMCEN Climate Change Communication Strategy: Priority Activities."
6 August 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the Chair’s report (FCCC/KP/AWG/2010/CRP.1) of the in-session workshop on the scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I parties in aggregate and the contribution of Annex I parties, individually or jointly, to this scale.

As called for at the first PrepCom of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, also called Rio+20), the second of three intersessional meetings will be 14-15 November 2011.
As called for at the first PrepCom of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, also called Rio+20), the first of three intersessional meetings will be 10-11 January 2011.
The meeting is organized by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and aims to prepare a unified Pacific position on biodiversity for the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 10) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Key issues that will be discussed at the meeting include: climate change and biodiversity; invasive species; marine and coastal biodiversity; protected areas; sustainable financing; forest biodiversity; access and benefit sharing; traditional knowledge and agriculture biodiversity. In addition, the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the new SPREP Strategic Plan and Targets and linkages with the other multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs).
