14 January 2010: The Investor Summit on Climate Risk, under the theme "Developing a Low-Carbon Economy: Leveraging Private Investment," took place on 14 January 2010, at UN Headquarters in New York, US, and brought together 450 global investors.
January 2010: The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a report providing an update of the scientific evidence on health risks caused by climate change titled "Protecting Health from Climate Change: Connecting Science, Policy and People." 
21 December 2009: The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has announced its intention to continue plans for reducing aviation emissions despite the lack of an agreement on bunker fuels at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference in December 2009.
3 January 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has highlighted its efforts to promote a low carbon, resource efficient Green Economy in the 21st century. According to UNEP, its strategy has focused on three priority areas: ecosystems-based adaptation; reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries (REDD); and clean technology readiness.
29 December 2009: The World Bank has approved two Global Environment Facility (GEF) grants to fund clean energy transport in Mexican and Brazilian cities.
17 December 2009: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has released a new publication entitled "A Case for Climate Neutrality," which presents examples of efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions and promote "green growth" at all levels.
16 December 2009: Countries governing the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) have endorsed the use of a total of US$800 million from the CIF Clean Technology Fund (CTF) for a range of climate activities in the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam.
11 December 2009: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has released a publication titled "Catalysing Change - The UNECE Response to the Climate Countdown."
