The Bonn Symposium 2009 will call for coherent reflection upon the structural causes of current crises as well as upon the sustainability of lifestyle norms, and seek to present practical recommendations to safeguard sustainable development in times of crises. The Bonn Symposium is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Foundation for International Dialogue of the Savings Bank in Bonn. Yvo de Boer, UNFCCC Executive Secretary, will offer the keynote address.
