WHO Identifies Public Health Impacts of Mitigation Strategies

27nov_09_0225 November 2009: The World Health Organization (WHO), together with an international team of health and environmental scientists, has produced the first global study identifying the health implications of different mitigation strategies in high and low-income countries.
Case studies focus on power generation, transport, household energy, and food and agriculture. The study concludes that if properly chosen, mitigation action itself can lead to improvements in health. [WHO Editorial][Study Executive Summary][Full Text of the Study]
