This meeting will gather international environment, development, business and social affairs experts to discuss the statistics needed “to better take into account the social and environmental dimensions of economic development,” as requested by the G-20 Pittsburgh meeting. Areas to be explored include climate change, inequality and urban development among others. The meeting is organised by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) with the European Commission, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the United Nations and the World Bank, in partnership with Statistics Korea.
