The dates for this meeting were selected at the end of the November 2009 meeting of the GEF Council (http://thegef.org/uploadedfiles/C.36.%20Joint%20Summary.final.pdf). The GEF Council Meeting will develop, adopt and evaluate GEF programmes. Council members representing 32 constituencies (16 from developing countries, 14 from developed countries, and two from countries with transitional economies) will be represented. An NGO Consultation will be held on the first day.
