Representatives from the UN and multilateral environmental agreements, including the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the UNFCCC, as well as ministers from 11 countries, are scheduled to participate in this conference. Participants will address cross-cutting environmental issues, as well as education, protected areas, administration and management of ecosystems, biodiversity and climate change.
