27 October 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the Report of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to the fifteenth Conference of the Parties.
28 October 2009: In his monthly press conference, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stated that, although much work remains to be done, he is optimistic that world leaders will reach an ambitious agreement in Copenhagen. 
28 October 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a fact sheet on minimizing the Copenhagen footprint. It outlines the steps that the Danish Government is taking to minimize emissions by implementing a range of energy saving measures at the conference site to reach a 20% reduction in CO2 leading up to COP 15. 
27 October 2009: The October 2009 issue of the UN Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC) Newsletter provides updates on the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) and progress on Mitigation, Adaptation, Finance and Technology, along with reports on related activities since the Bangkok meeting. 
26 October 2009: The UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) convened its 2009 Global Roundtable in Cape Town, South Africa, from 22-23 October 2009. The meeting explored ways to achieve sustainable financial markets and economies and launched several reports. 
26 October 2009: Janos Pasztor, Director of the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Change Support Team, addressed a press conference in New York, US, where he said that Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon views US engagement in climate change as vital to success. 
23 October 2009: The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the Government of India convened a high-level meeting on climate change, technology development and transfer in New Delhi, India, from 22-23 October 2009.
