IDB Supports Mexican Carbon Dioxide Certification System

9 June 2010: The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a project to develop capabilities for carbon dioxide emissions certification in Mexico.

The project will work on a certification model in three categories, to allow organizations to: report their emissions of greenhouse gas (GHG); monitor emission reductions; and certify and validate reductions obtained. The programme also seeks to associate the certification model with the programme GEI-Mexico, to register all kinds of reductions obtained by actions across the country [Project Information]
