UNFCCC Launches Call for CDM Experts

24 June 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched a call for experts on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to assist the Secretariat in certain aspects of the CDM process.

The Secretariat will compile a list of experts who could be called on to undertake aspects of the CDM process relating to the review of submissions, requests for registration of CDM project activities, requests for issuance of certified emission reductions (CERs) and validation and verification reports. The work will be performed remotely and all tasks will be submitted electronically.

The experts to be selected must have the relevant competence requirements, including familiarity with the CDM guidelines and directly relevant experience. The experts must also be free from any interest that might prevent them from acting in an impartial and non-discriminatory manner. Applications can be submitted online on the CDM website.
