26 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report by the Chair of the Expert Group on Technology Transfer containing recommendations on future financing options for enhancing the development, deployment, diffusion and transfer of technologies under the Convention, for consideration by the subsidiary bodies at their thirtieth sessions (FCCC/SB/2009/2).
26 May 2009: The Group of Eight (G8) Energy Ministers Meeting took place in Rome, Italy, from 24-25 May 2009, under the theme “Beyond the crisis: towards a new world energy leadership.”
18 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released its second newsletter of the year. 
14 May 2009: In a press conference held in New York, US, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer emphasized the need to accelerate progress with only 200 days left before the Copenhagen climate change conference. 
15 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released two documents prepared by the Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) to be discussed at its eighth session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 1-12 June 2009.
