August 2009: The World Bank published a report that identifies and summarizes potential climate change impacts on agriculture in the developing world, examines causes of vulnerability, and suggests where investments are needed to better climate-proof agriculture.
26 October 2009: The UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) convened its 2009 Global Roundtable in Cape Town, South Africa, from 22-23 October 2009. The meeting explored ways to achieve sustainable financial markets and economies and launched several reports. 
26 October 2009: A World Bank study on “Low-Carbon Development for Mexico” concluded that Mexico could reduce its carbon emissions by at least 42 percent (or 477 million tons) per year by 2030 without sacrificing economic development. 
26 October 2009: The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) has released a report “Catalysing Low Carbon Growth in Developing Economies: public finance mechanisms to scale up private sector investment in climate solutions.”
26 October 2009: The Second Committee (Economic and Financial) of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) participated in a panel discussion on “Green growth and sustainable development” on 26 October 2009, focusing on how climate change mitigation can be supported by and contribute to economic growth. The event was organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) under the auspices of the Second Committee.
