UN/ISDR Releases Report on Lessons Learned from Local DRR

20 April 2010: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR) has released a report titled "Local Governments and Disaster Risk Reduction, Good Practices and Lessons Learned." The report comprises case studies and contributes to the “Making Cities Resilient” Campaign, which aims to address issues of local governance and urban risk, as well as sustainable urbanization principles.

CIFOR Publishes Book on National Strategies for REDD+

March 2010: The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), a member organization of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR),  has published a book titled "Realizing REDD+: National Strategy and Policy Options." The book draws lessons from national experiences to inform strategies and policies for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, conservation, sustainable forest management and enhancement of forest carbon stocks (REDD+).
