Request for submissions of information on experiences on the development and application of tools relevant to the sustainable production and use of biofuels 6 August 2008: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited submissions regarding experiences in the

development and application of tools relevant to the sustainable production and

use of biofuels, as well as relevant information from research on, and

monitoring of, the positive and negative impacts of the production and use of

biofuels on biodiversity and related socioeconomic aspects, including those

Development Report Office introduced the youth version of the 2007-2008 Human

Development Report on 11 August 2008. The youth version, entitled “Two degrees

of separation between hope and despair,” was prepared by young people between

the ages of 16 and 25, and offers an explanation of the climate change problem,

followed by mitigation and adaptation policies, and a call to action by young

people.
