19 January 2010: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Irina Bokova, Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), have launched the "Education for All Global Monitoring Report 2010" at UN Headquarters in New York, US.
20 January 2010: The UN Environment and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) convened the High-level Asia-Pacific Policy Dialogue from 18-20 January, in Dakar, Bangladesh. 
20 January 2010: Addressing the Asian Financial Forum taking place in Hong Kong, China, from 20-21 January 2010, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dominique Strauss-Kahn, highlighted the challenges of transforming the global economy and the "immense importance to the long-term welfare of us all" of tackling climate change.
18 January 2010: The UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) has released the State of the World’s Indigenous Peoples’ Report, which highlights that indigenous peoples are among the first to feel the impacts of climate change even though their lifestyles are practically carbon neutral.
13 January 2010: The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has released a Land and Water Discussion Paper that addresses opportunities for mitigation and adaptation in dryland pastoral systems. 
11 January 2010: The UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) has launched the Fund for Gender Equality, which will provide grants to support initiatives worldwide to empower women and to promote their political participation and property rights. 
January 2010: The UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has released its Winter 2009 Newsletter, which describes UNITAR's key activities from the 2009 winter season, including climate change-related activities.
December 2009: The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), has released its 2008-2009 corporate report highlighting challenges at the interface of climate, livestock and poverty. 
November 2009: During UN Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark's visit to South Korea at the end of 2009, two agreements were reached. 
Funding for the Climate-L.org Project has been provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
