4 December 2009: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) Country Office in Colombia hosted a training workshop on climate change for 45 participants from various UN interagency groups, including the UN Emergency Team (UNETE), the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC), and the Inter-agency Group on Climate Change (GICC), NGOs and other agencies.

6 December 2009: Ahead of the UN Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) launched a publication titled "Climate Justice for a Changing Planet: A Primer for Policy Makers and NGOs," which examinesthe intersection of equity and justice in the context of the current climate change debate.
4 December 2009: The WorldFish Center, a member of the Consultative Group on International AgriculturalResearch (CGIAR), has released a brief that outlines a project in the Solomon Islands, funded by the Australian Government, to examine the potential for mangrove forests to be included in voluntary carbon offset markets.
