6 July 2009: The Adaptation Fund (AF) Secretariat has posted a summary of the proceedings of the sixth AF Board meeting, which convened in Bonn, Germany, from 15-17 June 2009, and discussed elements related to the AF’s Operational Guidelines.
2 July 2009: The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosted a workshop for 16 Chinese Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to discuss UNEP’s Green Economy initiatives and its work on combating climate change, international campaigns, and activities on green construction, reforestation and green technology. 
30 June 2009: The World Bank has approved two energy efficiency projects: one in India to replace centrifugal chillers; and one in Tunisia to develop a market for energy efficiency products. 
June 2009: The World Bank’s Environment Department has published a report titled “Convenient Solutions to an Inconvenient Truth: Ecosystem-based Approaches to Climate Change,” which sets out an argument for including ecosystem-based approaches to mitigation and adaptation as a third and essential pillar in national strategies to address climate change. 
29 June 2009: The UN General Assembly (UNGA) met in New York, US, to continue the plenary debate of its Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis and Its Impact on Development, which began on 24 June, and sought to identify emergency and long-term responses to mitigate the impact of the crisis. 
June 2009: The World Bank is seeking comments on the implementation of its Strategic Framework on Development and Climate Change.
