8 March 2010: Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), took part in a panel discussion at the Kenya International Conference Center in Nairobi, and addressed the twin challenges facing Africa: to revive strong growth and reinforce resilience to shocks, including those related to climate change.
4 March 2010: During the 13th session of the Human Rights Council, taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1-26 March 2010, Navanethem Pillay, High Commissioner for Human Rights, presented her report, which covers activities undertaken by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in 2009, including those aimed at raising awareness of the human rights implications of climate change-related effects. 
4 March 2010: The 19 members of the High-Level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing, which was set up by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in February 2010, have been announced. 
2 March 2010: Speaking at the eighth Informal Meeting on Further Action against Climate Change, which took place in Tokyo, Japan, from 1-2 March 2010, Yvo de Boer, UNFCCC Executive Secretary, stressed the need for the climate change negotiations to get off to a good start following Copenhagen, and for confidence in the process to be rebuilt.
2 March 2010: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon delivered the “Bernard Brodie Lecture on Conditions for Peace” at the University of California, in Los Angeles, California, US, on 2 March 2010. He noted the interconnections in today’s global world, highlighting the global financial and food crises, climate change, and global terrorism.
2 March 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released notifications to parties and observer States to the UNFCCC and its Kyoto Protocol, UN Secretariat units and bodies, specialized agencies and related oranizations regarding the 11th session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP 11) and the ninth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 9), which are scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany from 9-11 April 2010.
