10 February 2010: Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) adopted a resolution on 10 February 2010, calling on the EU to create a "new climate diplomacy," whereby the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and the Commissioner on Climate Action should work together with the more progressive developing and emerging countries.
9 February 2010: The UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) has released the Hashimoto Action Plan II (HAP II), which aims to motivate, convene and galvanize its partners to achieve the water-related Millennium Development Goals over the next three years in five key areas: financing; sanitation; monitoring and reporting; integrated water resources management (IWRM); and water and disaster.
8 February 2010: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Weekly newsletter, for the period 8-12 February 2010, reports on thefirst meeting of the Working Group on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation for the UNECE region, which convened on 5 February 2010, in Geneva, Switzerland.
8 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published reports submitted in 2009 of the individual reviews of the annual submissions of Hungary (FCCC/ARR/2009/HUN) and Greece (FCCC/ARR/2009/GRC).
