February 2010: The World Trade Organization (WTO) is providing a discussion forum for stakeholders to present opinions on trade in natural resources, and has invited comments on an article on trade and deforestation.
26 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) on its 31st session, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 8-12 December 2009 (FCCC/SBI/2009/15). 
24 February 2010: In a message to the 11th Special Session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), taking place in Bali, Indonesia, 24–26 February 2010, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged Ministers of Environment and environment experts to reject the recent attempts by climate sceptics to derail negotiations by exaggerating shortcomings in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report. 
22 February 2010: In his statement on the occasion of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Workshop on Journalism and the Environment, which met in Bali, Indonesia, Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), highlighted the linkages between climate change and biodiversity loss, as well as the potential of ecosystem-based approaches to biodiversity conservation and management for adaptation to climate change. 
23 February 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has released a new greenhouse gas (GHG) modeling study it compiled, based on the estimates of researchers at nine leading centres. The study concludes that countries will have to make more ambitious GHG emission reduction pledges if global temperature rise is to be curbed at 2ºC or less.
22 February 2010: At the Unity Summit of Latin America and the Caribbean, which convened in Cancun, Mexico, Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), delivered a message on behalf of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon noting that climate change is a “major inter-connected challenge.”
23 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has announced that the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC has decided that the next round of formal UN climate change negotiations under the Convention will take place from 9-11 April 2010, in Bonn, Germany.
