The 43rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A seminar will be held on 2 March on Implementing the Copenhagen Climate Change Agreement in Asia and the Pacific.

20 January 2010: In a statement on the occasion of the regional workshop on “Guidelines on practices for sustainable forest management in drylands of the Sub-Saharan Africa,” held from 20-22 January 2010, in Dakar, Senegal, Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), stressed that biodiversity, desertification and climate change are interconnected.

18 January 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a notification to parties (YDB/ DBO/drl) regarding communication of information relating to the Copenhagen Accord. 
15 January 2010: The Joint Session of the Executive Boards of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the World Food Programme (WFP) convened on 15 January 2010, in New York, US, and focused on the issue of climate change.
