2 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published an information note (YdB/HT/AWGs/2010), pertaining to an invitation for submissions by 16 Februrary 2010 in response to two annexed messages.
31 January 2010: In his opening address to the 14th Ordinary Summit of the African Union (AU), which has convened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 25 January-2 February 2010, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon pledged to mobilize support to tackle the critical challenges threatening peace and prosperity across Africa, including climate change.
31 January 2010: Climate change was the topic of several of the events held at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which took place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from 27-31 January 2010. 
31 January 2010: Silva Mediterranea, a statutory body of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) that provides a forum for discussion on forestry issues in Mediterranean countries, has released its second newsletter. This issue focuses on forest genetic resources as a key issue for adaptation of Mediterranean forests to climate change. 
21 January 2010: The second carbon capture and storage (CCS) Regulators Network Meeting took place at International Energy Agency (IEA) offices in Paris, France, from 20-21 January 2010. 
28 January 2010: Through a joint letter to the UNFCCC, the Spanish Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the EU and the European Commission have formally indicated the support of the EU and its 27 member States for the Copenhagen Accord. 
28 January 2010: Speaking at the opening of the 16th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU), which took place from 28- 29 January 2010, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Jean Ping, President of the AU Commission, highlighted that necessary financing to support climate change adaptation in Africa was identified at the UN Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, as a result of the common position presented by African countries at the meeting. 
27 January 2010: The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Methodologies Panel (Meth Panel) has published the report of its 42nd meeting, which was held from 18-22 January 2010, in Bonn, Germany.
