28 May 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a document (FCCC/SBI/2010/INF.5) containing tabulated information on the status of receipt of contributions to the UNFCCC trust funds as of 15 May 2010.
27 May 2010: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR) has launched a two-year campaign titled “Making Cities Resilient: My City is Getting Ready.” The campaign was launched during the First World Congress on Cities and Adaptation to Climate Change, which convened in Bonn, Germany, from 28-30 May 2010. 
27 May 2010: The UN-REDD Programme, Chatham House and other forest governance experts met in London, UK, from 24-25 May 2010, to discuss how to monitor governance safeguards in the implementation of a mechanism to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of carbon stocks (REDD+).
May 2010: The World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) has released a working paper looking at land tenure issues and reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries (REDD) in the Kalimantan Forests and Climate Partnership initiative in Indonesia. 
27 May 2010: Representatives of 50 countries met in Oslo, Norway, on 27 May 2010, to conclude an agreement on financing and a framework to rapidly operationalize measures for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD). Countries also pledged almost US$4 billion to quick-start implementation between 2010-2012.
25 May 2010: Africa Progress Panel members Kofi Annan, Peter Eigen, Linah Mohohlo and Olusegun Obasanjo launched the Africa Progress Report 2010 on 25 May 2010, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The publication analyzes the continent’s progress and issues recommendations regarding climate change, among other issues, to African leaders and the continent's international partners. 
26 May 2010: The UN-REDD Programme has released its May 2010 Newsletter, which highlights many recent activities and publications on reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, conservation, sustainable forest management and enhancement of carbon stocks (REDD+). 
25 May 2010: The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved an International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) loan ofUS$200 million to support the Indonesian Government's policy agenda on climate change. 
19 May 2010: The first session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) convened from 17-19 May 2010, at UN Headquarters in New York, US. The Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) took up both substantive and procedural matters.
