12 November 2009: The UNFCCC has released an advance report by the Chair of the Expert Group on Technology Transfer (EGTT) evaluating its work in 2008-2009 and presenting its 2010-2011 work programme, to be considered at the 31st sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), and Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), to be held from 7-18 December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
6 November 2009: The Danone-IUCN-Ramsar partnership hosted a three-day expert workshop on “Achieving carbon offsets through mangroves and other wetlands,” from 9-11 November 2009, in Gland, Switzerland. 
6 November 2009: The second global online conference on climate change, titled “Climate 2009/Klima 2009,” took place from 2-6 November 2009, hosted by the Faculty of Life Sciences of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. 
11 November 2009: Scientists and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) officials have stressed that, as global warming alters temperatures and precipitation patterns around the world, the threat posed by invasive species is rising.
6 November 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has received a submission from the Secretariat of the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) (FCCC/SBSTA/2009/MISC.12), containing the 2010 provisional update to the Implementation Plan for the GCOS in Support of the UNFCCC. This document will be considered by the 31st session of the UNFCCC’s Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), which will take place from 7-18 December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark. 
9 November 2009: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has initiated work on a Special Report entitled “Managing the Risk of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation,” at a meeting of 90 experts in Panama City, Panama. 
5 November 2009: The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released a report titled “Food Security and Agricultural Mitigation in Developing Countries: Options for Capturing Synergies,” at the Barcelona Climate Change Talks.
1 November 2009: The 31st session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) convened from 26-29 October 2009, in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia, bringing together approximately 350 participants who focused primarily on the scoping of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5).
